Intermission

After digesting all of those definitions, it's time to take a break and do something else.

Perhaps you've been wondering what sorts of exotic patterns can arise if we change the rules about how our motif is repeated.

Maybe you'd like to play a game with the Geometric Golfer. Observe how the program illustrates the concepts you learned last week in a fun and palatable manner. Explore the control menus -- can you turn the sound off?

If your labmates are already hogging the computer, get your hands on some wallpaper patterns and look for their mirror, rotational, translational, and glide reflective symmetries. If that's too easy for you, go on to find mirror strings and gyration points!

Once you feel rested, please go through the web page How to Use Kali in a Macintosh. If you are using a Macintosh at the Geometry Center, Kali can be found in the Math Apps folder under the apple menu.
