ACTIVITY SHEET
For each of the following pictures, examine the photo carefully and
respond to the corresponding questions.
7. Draw the lines of reflection with respect to the entire photo in one
color and with respect to the circular logo itself in another color.
- The local symmetry of the logo itself can be described in many ways,
describe it in your own words.
8. Draw all the lines of reflection with respect to the star in one
color. Draw the vertical lines of reflection with respect to the
individual letters in a second color. Draw the horizontal lines of
reflection with respect to the individual letters in a third color.
- How is the symmetry of the star similar to the symmetry of the logo
in Fig. 7?
- Write a word with both global and local symmetry, and draw its lines
of reflection.
