Let's consider the sorts of information that individuals might want to include on their personal web pages. I am going to recommend to the U O"Swamp Math Department that their webmaster set up a standard "template" for faculty, with clues as to the kinds of information that might be included there. Individuals will then be permitted to fill in, modify, and adapt that to their own needs, interests, and whims. I will suggest that the template include:

• Repetition, with possible expansion, of some information from the official page:
• Name, Picture (optional), Title, and Doctoral Institution
• Complete Mailing Address
• Office Number / Location, if distinct from previous item
  Plus Current Office Hours
• Complete Telephone Number
• Complete FAX Number
• Complete Email Address


• Additional details and information not included on the official page:
• Teaching Activities
• Current Courses, with information on
• Course Syllabi
• Homework Assignments
• Exam Schedule
• Etc.
• Courses taught in previous terms
• With additional links, if appropriate
• Courses to be taught in the next term
• With additional links, if appropriate
• Research and/or Professional Activities
• Description of topic areas
• Publications (books, papers, etc.)
• Presentations
• Offices in professional societies
• May or may not include information on previous positions
• Personal Activities (optional)
• Local community activities
• Other interests
• Some sort of favorites (e.g., books or movies, quotations or jokes, etc.)
