Main Panel: Phase Selection
The integer n associated with an orbit about any of the libration points L1, L2, or L3 determines the
phase angle used in the approximation to an orbit.
This phase angle determines the basic character of the
orbit:
- Types n=1 and n=3 can successfully be approximated to find actual orbits with numerical algorithms
implemented in the module
- For types n=0 and n=2, the "large amplitude halo orbits", approximations may be computed but no
actual orbit has yet been successfully predicted by the approximation.
