Main Panel: Formula Selection
The software module allows one to compute two types of
approximations to the actual orbit:
- The Richardson Formulation uses the equations for the approximation developed by D.L. Richardson
in conjunction with work for the Jet Propulsion Laboratories
- Patrick's Formulation appends to these equations a correction to the Richardson Formulation
found by Patrick Worfolk
Patrick's Formulation appears to produce a seed which converges more quickly to the actual orbit for a
given radius.
