MPEG Movies of the Roman Surface

Rotating in 3 dimensions. In the initial position, one of the self-intersection segments is directly facing the camera. The first and third rotations each occur about one segment of self-intersection. Notice that the Roman Surface displays a 3-fold symmetry.

Grid skeleton of the surface executing the same rotations as in the previous movie. Notice the 3-fold symmetry of the fold curves.

Bands of the surface rotating in 3 dimensions. Color is assigned according to v parameter.

Animation showing the surface at sequential heights with respect to a vector. The first frame shows a Whitney Umbrella.
