Brad Barber

Post Doc, The Geometry Center

Brad Barber was a part-time postdoc at the Geometry Center. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science (1992) from Princeton University under David Dobkin. Barber's research interests concern the practical implementation of geometric algorithms under imprecise data and arithmetic. In general dimension, he has a robust point-in-polyhedron algorithm (with Michael Hirsch) and is working on a robust convex hull algorithm. Hannu Huhdanpaa has implemented the precise version of the convex hull algorithm, Quickhull (qhull). When not a postdoc, Barber develops a programming system and database for personal computers.
