To begin the applet, click on the button "Draw Mandelbrot". Look for the self-similarities.
Click on one of these self-similarities. Then, use the "Zoom in- Mandelbrot" to see it in more detail. You can zoom as many times as you want, just click each time where you want it blown up. To go back, you can use the "Zoom out- Mandelbrot" button or redraw the set.

Click on "Draw Julia". This shows the Julia fractal for the c on the screen. To see other Julia fractals, click somewhere on the Mandelbrot fractal. This will change the c-value. Then, use the "Draw Julia" button to see the result. Look for connected and disconnected Julia sets. Find a fractal you like a lot. You can remember it by its c-value.
