# BUILDING BRIDGES

__A Bridge Building Project__

### The following is a project that combines everything you have learned thus far about triangles to construct a bridge.

The following materials can be used:

The bridge must:

- Span a river that is 150 meters wide
- It must be 10 meters wide so that cars/trucks can use it

You must include in your project the following items:

- A 2-dimensional drawing of the bridge that is correctly scaled
- A 3-dimensional replica of the bridge that is correctly scaled

The bridge structure (ie. the popsicle sticks) must also contain:

- An acute, an obtuse, and a right triangle
- A "special" triangle

__Note:__

Please play around with different triangle formations and different triangles to come up with the arrangement that you think will give you the strongest bridge.

Your final bridge structure should be tested for strength by applying increasing amounts of weights directly in the center.
