With fully half the snow melted away, the gate to the deck can again be opened...
The lake is clear, if cold, but the canoe is still frozen to the ground.
Facing South-West (the warmest direction?!?),

(once I'd restocked my film supply...)
In addition to the delightful autumn colors, the moquitoes go away after the first frost!
