Convert a binary format figure to postscript format by xv

• xv filename.gif
• Bring the mouse corsor to the xv window click on the right mouse botton. That will pop up another panel.
• Click on the save button. Then choose the postscript format.
• If the PS file is huge, we can also convert a PS file to a gif or jpg files. Then convert back to a PS file. The final PS file will be smaller. This method works , because the convertion is non-invertible. We might loss some information by doing this.
