
IFSoft (AKA: Project11)
The Java(tm) package edu.umn.geom.IFSoft (comprising the programs
Fractalina and Franimate!) was written by
Noah D. Goodman
during the Geometry Center
Summer Institute '96, for the
Dynamical Systems and Technology Project
at Boston University (headed by Bob DeVaney). These programs are educational
software intended to help teach ideas about fractals to high school and
middle school students.
The following pages describe the software in more detail, introduce the
math behind the pictures, describe the programming in Java(tm), and give
technical specifications.
