Objective: To introduce high school geometry students to geometry in architecture, art, and nature including geometric patterns.

This project is designed to open students' eyes and minds to the geometry around them, and as such, it is expected that it will precede any teaching in the geometry classroom.

• Organize groups of no more than four students. Have all groups decide on an area of research (see table below.)

  
  

• Day 1: Students should familiarize themselves with the net and the given internet site links. Students should begin answering the questions from the given worksheets (see phase 2).

  
  

• Day 2: Students should complete the worksheets. Once all information has been gathered, each group will organize the information into a report to be turned in, or presented to the class.

  
  

• Day 3: Presentations will be presented this day. Should you choose not to have group presentations the information could be shared in a group discussion where the worksheet questions drive the discussion.
