GEOMETRY IN ARCHITECTURE, ART AND NATURE

PHASE 1 - RESEARCH IN GREEK ARCHITECTURE

Objective:

The objective of this phase is to conduct research on, and observe how geometry is used in, greek architecture.

Procedure:

  1. During this phase you will want to visit each linked site offered below. View areas of these sites that interest you and write down any general observations you make and the site address (http://...) you observed them at.

  2. This phase works in conjuncture with the worksheet phase so will need to pull up the questions on greek architecture found in phase 2 - worksheets. Read the directions at the top of the page and then select greek to bring up your worksheet questions. Your teacher may have paper copies of these questions already so check with your teacher before printing them out.

The following links will take you to sites that have information on greek architecture. The questions on your worksheet (phase 2) are related to these sites. Once you have completed your worksheet you may search for other sites that offer information on greek architecture.
