Orbit Stability Analysis Panel: Setup for Computing the Stable and Unstable Manifolds

The entry fields shown above allow the user to change the default options for plotting the stable and unstable manifolds.

No. of Manifold Points: This is the number of points on the orbit for which a trajectory on the manifold is computed.

Length of Initial Step: For a point on the orbit, this is the distance from the orbit in the corresponding eigendirection to the point where a trajectory on the manifold flows in.

Stopping Time: This is the number of time units (stepping away from the orbit) for which the manifold will be computed.

No. of Time Steps: No. of time steps determines the "fineness of mesh" for which the manifold will be plotted.
