Calc III Lab #8: Introduction

In this lab we will study a first order nonlinear system of ODEs.

Objectives of the lab

The objectives of this lab are

to find equilibria of a system of ODEs;
to linearize the system in order to determine the stability and local phase portrait of the equilibria;
to examine bifurcations of equilibria;
to find out as much as possible about the dynamics of the given ODEs, by applying numerical, analytic, and geometric techniques;
