Example

Consider the velocity field F(z,y,z)=(1,0,0), which is the constant flow encountered in Movie #1. The curl of this flow if curl(F)=(0,0,0) so the third component of the curl is identically zero. Therefore the a plot of the third component as a function of (x,y) is just the graph of G(x,y)=0.
