Warm Up Question 4

A graph of the square root function can be seen on the sketch we turned in on paper.

Using the rule to take the square root of a number and then take the square root of the result we got:

sqr root (5) = 2.36067977

sqr root (2.36067977) = 1.4953748781

sqr root (1.4953748781) = 1.222844545

sqr root (1.222844545) = 1.105823017

sqr root (1.105823017) = 1.051581198

sqr root (1.051581198) = 1.025466332

Plotting these points gave us the graph the graph of the square root function. (Please see paper we turned in)

Notice that both the graph of y=x and our graph equal 1 when x=1.
