Types of Slope


From the previous section, you have discovered that there are four types of slope.

  1. postive slope (when lines go uphill from left to right)
  2. negative slope (when lines go downhill from left to right)
  3. zero slope (when lines are horizontal)
  4. undefined slope (when lines are vertical)


Now we are ready to look at how to calculate the numerical values of slope on graph paper in the next section.
