The Java Simulation of the Parabolic Isometry
In the following applet, the grey line is the image of the black line under the parabolic
transformation. The red point at (0, -i) is the fixed point
on the boundary that characterizes the isometry. You may move the
point about the boundary with the mouse to observe the behavior of the
line under various parabolic isometries. The slider beneath the model
adjusts the parameter e, which runs between -2 and 2. The parameter e
controls the amount by which points are "translated" under the isometry.
