County by County Summary

Now we have a county by county summary. If your county is not listed it is because there has been no change in low plan , little or no change in networks, and few if any Medica enrollees in the county.

ANOKA - Medica Premier clinics are all available with other lower cost plans.
BECKER - HealthPartners is cheaper than Medica if you use Meritcare Clinics.
BELTRAMI - HealthPartners is cheaper than Medica if you use Meritcare Clinics.
BENTON - If in Medica, check carefully that your clinic is only available with Medica.
BLUE EARTH - If in Medica, check carefully that your clinic is only available with Medica.
BROWN - HealthPartners is now low plan.
CARLTON - Only Fond du Lac Clinic is with only Medica, all other Medica enrollees should look at switching plans.
CARVER - Medica has no clinics left in the county.
CASS - HealthPartners is cheaper than Medica if you use Meritcare Clinics.
CHISAGO - Medica has dropped clinics in the county.
CLAY - HealthPartners is cheaper than Medica is you use Meritcare Clinics.
CLEARWATER - HealthPartners is now low plan. They have Meritcare clinics.
CROW WING - Medica enrollees should switch unless they use Longville Clinic.
DAKOTA - Medica has dropped Quello clinics. There are no clinics only available through Medica in the county.
DOUGLAS - If you use the Broadway Clinic - consider switching to HealthPartners Classic. If you use the Alexandria Clinic - consider switching to HealthPartners. In both cases you will save money.
GOODHUE - HealthPartners is now low plan. They have Fairview Red Wing (formerly known as Interstate Clinic).
HENNEPIN - University docs are again available as noted above. All Medica clinics are available through another plan at less cost to you.
HUBBARD - Meritcare Clinics now available at low cost with HealthPartners.
ISANTI - Cambridge Clinic now available through HealthPartners and at less cost than through Medica.
JACKSON - HealthPartners is now low plan. They have all clinics in county except Sacred Heart.
KANABEC - The Mora Clinic is now available through State Health Plan Select for less money than through Medica.
KOOCHICHING - State Health Plan Select has signed International Falls. Medica enrollees need to switch unless using Littlefork Clinic.
LINCOLN - HealthPartners is now low plan. It has all three clinics in the county.
MCLEOD - HealthPartners is now low plan. It has the same clinics as Medica.
MILLE LACS - HealthPartners Classic is now low plan. It has both Mille Lacs Family Clinics and both Fairview Northland Clinics.
MORRISON - HealthPartners Classic is again low plan. It has Little Falls Family Medica, Pierz Community Medical and the clinic in Hillman.
MURRAY - HealthPartners is cheaper than Medica if you use the Worthington Clinic in Fulda.
NICOLLET - HealthPartners is cheaper than Medica if you use Northridge Clinic.
OTTERTAIL - HealthPartners is cheaper than Medica if you use Meritcare Clinics.
PINE - State Health Plan Select is now low plan. It has Hinckley Medical Center, Voyager Medical Center in Pine City and Duluth Clinic - Sandstone.
RAMSEY - All Medica enrollees can get their clinic with another lower cost health plan. Note that HealthPartners Classic has added two United Clinics.
RICE - HealthPartners is now low plan with the Faribault Clinic and Cannon Valley Clinic in Faribault and both Family Physicians and River Valley Clinics in Northfield.
SCOTT - Note loss of Quello Clinics to Medica.
SHERBURNE - Mork Clinic in Elk River is dropped by Medica. CentraCare Clinics available through HealthPartners as well as Medica.
STEARNS - All but two clinics in county (St. Cloud State University and Tri County Action) are available through lower cost plans than Medica.
STEVENS - HealthPartners is cheaper than Medica is you use Chokio or Morris clinics.
TODD - In Clarissa, Grey Eagle and Long Prairie, HealthPartners is cheaper than Medica. In Grey Eagle, HealthPartners Classic is cheaper yet.
TRAVERSE - If you go to Dr. Stanley Gallagher, it is cheaper to use HealthPartners.
WASHINGTON - There are no longer any clinics unique to Medica.
WATONWAN - HealthPartners is low plan and has same docs as Medica.
WILKIN - HealthPartners is cheaper than Medica if you use Meritcare Clinics.
WRIGHT - All clinics in the county are available through a plan less expensive than Medica.
YELLOW MEDICINE - All clinics in the county are available through a plan less expensive than Medica.
