The WebEQ Project
- WebEQ is a program for displaying
technical notation in web pages. It is a Java applet which
downloads with the page, and "programs" the browser to display
mathematics.
- The equations are described with LaTeX style commends directly in
the HTML source. The only other software required to make
mathematical web pages is an editor.
- The Geometry Center is working with the World Wide Web Consortium,
the industry group responsible for HTML standards, to develop and
popularize math extensions to HTML.
- The HTML Math language will provide a way of describing both
layout and semantic information, facilitating inter-communication
between web pages, CAS, scientific and graphics software.
