One of the good things about HTML, is that
almost everybody has the software to creat it,
and it's not too difficult to learn how to
make represenatble pages. If you wanna make something
really great, than you need some expertise.
Java is another overbloated application, it only works
on the very high-end, it leaves the creation of application
in the hands of people who understand these cryptic things
(I'm one of those people)
and I don't believe it addresses the real needs of the
home user.
