## Former Post Doc, The Geometry Center

I am now a post-doc at Xerox PARC in Palo Alto.

I'm a Computational
Geometer - I figure out algorithms for solving geometric problems
on the computer and try to prove that they're the best possible.
My thesis was about how you can use linear programming
algorithms to solve a bunch of non-linear problems derived
from Helly theorems.
I've also looked at problems you can solve by
projecting polytopes to lower dimensions, and I'm thinking lately
about defining the shape of a set of points.
You can find out more by looking at my
papers.

Here I am at a workshop with a lot of Computational Geometers
who are taller than I am.
You can just see my eye peeking out behind Micha Sharir.
I've collected a lot of pointers to computational geometry
software,
which you might find useful.

I am the original author of
Kali,
a symmetry drawing program,
beloved of kids, artists and group theorists.

I'm chairing this year's Video Review of Computational Geometry.
Here is the list of accepted videos, and some
advice on making good videos.

The famous picture
of me relaxing on a Cray-1 is still available!
